One of the key projects in 2003 was the creation of the Last Mile Vegetation Management and Enhancement Plan with the assistance of Kathy Lyons, Biotic Research Group.

This document identifies the actions to protect and enhance the native dune and wetland plant communities. It identifies the non-native plants to be removed and proposes the native plants that should be used for the restoration of the last mile.
Preliminary cost estimate breakdowns for Pajaro Dunes South and entire banks of the last mile.Excerpts of the proposed activity schedule with detailed timelines for collecting seeds, removing invasives, planting, and ongoing maintenance.
