Our Partners
We are either members of or are working directly with the following Community Groups:
- We attend Watch meetings and are looking for opportunities to collaborate on projects involving the Watsonville Slough.
- Two of our current board members are also on the board of the Elkhorn Slough Foundation (ESF). We look to ESF as a role model on how to protect and preserve the wetlands.
City of Watsonville (Watsonvile Slough Master TrailsPlan)
- The City of Watsonville's Public Works Department has a number of projects currently in the works to restore and enhance the Watsonville Slough Watershed within the city limits. We are looking for opportunities to collaborate on a number of these projects.
County of Santa Cruz (Watsonville Slough Watershed Plan)
- The County of Santa Cruz has been instrumental in leading the effort to develop a the Watsonville Slough Watershed Conservation Resource and Enhancement Plan. This objective of this plan is to identify specific measures for the long-term portection and enhancement of the slough and its surrounding watershed. We are working with this group's steering committee to develop proposals and solicit funding for several "lower" slough projects adjacent to Pajaro Dunes.
