The Pajaro Dunes Nature Gallery is now open. The team of volunteers worked long hours to complete the last minute touches on the display and Media Center.

The Nature Gallery officially opened its doors on May 14 with a party hosted by Sandy Casey and the team from Pajaro Dunes at Monterey Bay/At the Dunes. About 100 guests dropped by to view the new Gallery and partake in the food and refreshments.

Everyone admired the breath-taking wall panels that tap the natural beauty of Pajaro Dunes.

The Media Center features a touch screen that visitors can use to select a wide array of topics about the habitats at Pajaro Dunes. Taking from the theme of the wall panels, the Media Center provides visitors with information about the five habitat zones around the Last Mile. The Media Center includes a database of local birds and plants, a set of games helping guests learn more about the habitat, and information about places to visit around Monterey Bay.
